YOUTH SPORTS
If your child is too young for school or club sports, but wants to learn the basics of basketball, soccer, and other team sports our youth sports programs are a great first step. Children learn basic principles, skills, and sportsmanship while practicing drills and playing fun games.

BASKETBALL 101
45 MINUTES | 7 WEEKS | AGES: 6-8
Basketball 101 is the perfect introduction to basketball fundamentals. Learn skills to help get ready for our Youth Co-Ed league, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and much more! Our instructors utilize play and creativity to keep the class fun and educational.
In keeping with The Salvation Army’s mission, our youth basketball program will inspire youth to realize their potential through experiences that transform lives. Athletes will be introduced to game rules, discover a passion for soccer, understand Christ’s plan and be good stewards, and play with peers and develop new relationships.
YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE
A non-competitive recreational league, that is modeled after the NFL Flag Football League. Players will be divided up into NFL franchise teams and will receive a NFL jersey for game play. The first week of the season begins with an “NFL Combine” in which players will go through a series of drills, similar to those that NFL hopefuls go through at the yearly NFL Combine. Teams will then be divided up and will have organized practice at The Kroc. Games will begin week 3 and will run on Saturday mornings until the end of the season. After the season ends each team will get the chance to play under the lights in the Annual Bellevue Bowl.
Bellevue Bowl games are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
LIL’ NINJA
30 MINUTES | MAPLE | AGES: 4-5
Introduction to all new sport discipline inspired by gymnastics, martial arts, and obstacle course training. Lil’ ninjas will develop strength, stamina, and agility in a fun, safe environment.
NINJA ACADEMY
45 MINUTES | MAPLE
Ninja Academy is a progressive program that combines elements of parkour, gymnastics, martial arts and obstacle course navigation into one athletic sport.
Students work to develop safe and precise body movements and skills, such as Ninja rolling for safety, basic vaulting, backflip progression, safe falling and landing, and basic kicking and punching technique.
All students begin in White Crane and progress into Red Leopard and then Blue Dragon at the instructor’s discretion as their skills grow.
SOCCER LEAGUE
In keeping with The Salvation Army’s mission, our Youth Soccer League aims to inspire youth to realize their potential through transformative experiences. Athletes will be introduced to game rules, develop and improve soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, trapping, and scoring, and discover a passion for soccer. We emphasize sportsmanship to foster positive interactions with peers, teammates, and others in the community. Each participant will receive a T-shirt and have opportunities to earn sportsmanship awards. We encourage families to register their children, ages 6-9, at Membership Services or through our website. Join us for a summer of fun, fitness, and friendship on the soccer field!
PARENT AND TOT TUMBLING
30 MINUTES | 8 WEEKS | AGES: 1-2
Parent and Tot Tumbling is designed exploration through stations that focus on running, jumping, hanging, tumbling, and balancing.
TUMBLING I
30 MINUTES | 8 WEEKS | AGES: 3-4
This class will introduce children to basic tumbling and gymnastic skills, in a fun-filled environment. Kids will participate in activities that teach forward rolling, balance, flexibility, and coordination.
TUMBLING II
30 MINUTES | 8 WEEKS | AGES: 4-5
This class continues to build skills in basic tumbling and gymnastics, in a fun-filled environment. Kids will participate in activities that teach balance, flexibility, and coordination.
GYMNASTICS: BEGINNER
60 MINUTES | 8 WEEKS | AGES: 6-16
Learn gymnastic stretching and conditioning, as well as skills on the vault, bars, beam, and floor.
GYMNASTICS: INTERMEDIATE
60 MINUTES | 8 WEEKS | AGES: 6-16
This class is structured for students who have graduated from “Gymnastics: Beginner”, or new students who have demonstrated they can safely perform beginner skills and are prepared to learn intermediate skills. Any gymnast that has not taken gymnastics at the Kroc needs to be evaluated before entering anything higher than “Gymnastics: Beginner”. .
GYMNASTICS: ADVANCED 1
75 MINUTES | 8 WEEKS | AGES: 6-16
This class is structured for students who have graduated from “Gymnastics: Intermediate”, or new students who have demonstrated they can safely perform advanced skills. Any gymnast that has not taken gymnastics at the Kroc needs to be evaluated before entering anything higher than “Gymnastics: Beginner”.
GYMNASTICS: PRE-TEAM
75 MINUTES | 8 WEEKS | AGES: 6-16
Not sure if you want to commit to a full gymnastics team yet? No worries. Join the Pre-Team class and get a taste of what it means to be a part of the full on gymnastics team. Athletes must try out with our lead coach in order to be placed on this team. Additional costs for extra practices throughout competition season.
The following classes are practice time for our TEAM gymnasts. Must try out for the team. Additional costs associated with TEAM for participating in meets around Wisconsin.

150 MINUTES | 8 WEEKS | AGES: 6-16

GYMNASTICS: LEVEL 4 TEAM
180 MINUTES | 8 WEEKS | AGES: 6-16

GYMNASTICS: LEVEL 5 TEAM

60/90 MINUTES | 7 WEEKS | AGES: 7+
This course will teach students discipline, focus, goal-setting and achievement through the learning of basics stances, strikes and kicks as well as patience. Training will be done for Olympics style sparring and in self-defense. Students will have the opportunity to earn belts.
45 MINUTES | 7 WEEKS | AGES: 8-12
Speed and agility training can improve your game no matter what you play! By learning the fundamentals of speed and agility, young athletes can continue to build sports-specific skills outside of practice. Participants will work with our certified strength and conditioning coach, Lexi Olinske, through fun and interactive drills designed to promote correct running technique, improve movement, and develop conditioning.
45 MINUTES | 7 WEEKS | AGES: 7-14
Home school PE is comprised of various physical activity for motor skills development such as: climbing, running, catching, throwing, and jumping. Participants will also learn the basics of health, fitness, and knowledge of team and individual sports alike. Each session will have a focus on 3-4 different sports-based activities.
60 MINUTES | 7 WEEKS | AGES: 16+
Tai Chi promotes physical and emotional wellness through the many styles of Tai Chi. This 1-hour course will focus on the Chen and Yang styles that are renowned for their fluidity and gracefulness. Come join us for a class that promotes an increased sense of well-being, mindfulness, and relaxation.
