STEP UP YOUR GAME

Body composition analysis refers to measuring your body muscle, fat and water. Instead of focusing on a single number on your scale, body composition analysis allows you to focus on losing body fat and gaining muscle while retaining the proper amount of body water in specific areas of your body. Body composition analysis is key to tracking and measuring effective weight loss.

HOW InBODY WORKS

InBody devices use direct segmental measurement bioelectrical impedance analysis (DSM-BIA) to precisely measure body composition by sending multiple electrical currents through the body, resulting in up to six different impedance readings for the trunk and each of the four limbs.

The innovative in-depth analysis of the InBody Test yields accurate results for body composition outputs, such as body fat mass, skeletal muscle mass, (segmental) lean body mass, and percent body fat.

How to Prepare for your InBody Scan

  • Do not eat for 3-4 hours before testing
  • Do not exercise fir 6-12 hours before testing
  • Ensure access to both feet with removable footwear and socks
  • Do not drink caffeine on the day of your test and be well hydrated
  • Do not shower or sauna immediately prior to test
  • Avoid putting lotion on hands and feet before testing
  • Individuals with pacemakers or other electronic devices should not use the InBody
  • For women, avoid testing if you are pregnant or menstruating
